Mottisfont Village Hall - Notes for Hirers

If you decide to hire the hall then please note the following, which will help you with your event.

The hall is in a rural setting and away from the hustle and bustle of city life, which we are sure you will enjoy. We place no major restrictions on the use except those of due consideration and safety. We respectfully ask that if you intend a noisy event then consider our neighbours and perhaps forewarn. We do not allow open fires, but if you would like a barbecue outside then please do. Like all public buildings, the hall is a non-smoking area.

Mobile phones do work at the hall, but reception is a little hit and miss.

The power board is located on the left hand side as you enter the hall. The main water stop cock is under the sink in the kitchen.

Emergency torches are located at the fire exits in case of a power outage.

Fire extinguishers are located inside, together with a First Aid kit.

When departing please leave the hall as you would wish to find it, lock all the doors, turn off the lights, and please padlock the gate.

The hall is not a licensed premises, which is not normally a problem for private events. Should your event be more public, then we suggest you seek guidance from the local authority. For events like the village fete where there is a beer tent, we apply for a TEN notice from the local authority. You will need to make your own arrangements as appropriate.

Please follow any instructions you are given for returning the keys.
