Mottisfont Village Hall - About the Hall

Mottisfont Village Hall is run by the Village Hall Association, a registered charity which is staffed by volunteers from the villages of Mottisfont & Dunbridge and nearby. Our charity number is 291629.

Originally the school serving the locality, the building was renovated in the early 90s and turned into a fully functioning Village Hall. The hall was built over 100 years ago and enjoys fine views over the Dun valley from its prominent position on Keepers Lane. Many children attended the school over the years, and photographs through the ages adorn the walls inside the hall. Many who attended still live locally.

The wooden outbuilding provides storage for gazebos, outdoor tables and the like. It was originally the village scout hut and was positioned in Mottisfont, and after being used as the home guard HQ during WW2 it was moved to the school and turned into a kitchen/dining area.

The grounds around the hall are ideal for outside events. We have had several school sports events, the village fete, campers and many other uses.

The hall and surrounding grounds are self-contained and fenced so that when you hire the hall you can be assured of a peaceful function with only the local wildlife to keep you company.
